Last weekend I had a chance to photograph birds or prey at the Canadian Raptor Conservancy with some friends.
There were a variety of birds from bald eagles to owls and all very beautiful. Being so close to them was such a privilege which allowed for some fantastic shots. The Canadian Raptor Conservancy is involved in bird rehabilitation and research. They also provide trained birds for television and motion pictures. As well they do live demonstrations of the birds in free flight. Though I was already familiar with action photography through my rodeo images this was fairly new to me capturing birds in flight and was a bit challenging at times tracking their movement. These images above were my favourites. Click here to see the rest.
I will be returning for sure in the future.
